Plan a Perfect Event at Pacific Hideaway

It’s always so stressful trying to find the PERFECT venue for any sort of event- which is exactly what I was experiencing trying to plan my birthday brunch. As I narrowed my options down, I knew from the beginning that I wasn’t going to settle for anywhere other than Pacific Hideaway in Huntington Beach.

I had been there once before, and the bright, modern, aesthetic, brunch-y vibes were just what I was looking for. When we arrived (a little late due to traffic) I was very pleased to find our entire table against the back mural (show-stopper) set-up, reserved, and waters filled! Our waitress immediately greeted us and got us started, which I appreciated it. We ordered a couple different drinks and dishes to all share and munch on- and nothing disappointed!

The drinks included : What’s Up Doc?, Golden State of Mind, Do Not Disturb, and, of course, mimosas (which are only $10 with $1 refills during brunch!). We all agreed that the “Do Not Disturb” was the best. All of them, however, were unique and well-concocted. These are not your average cocktails!

As far as the food, I was only concerned about trying the Granola & Yogurt and Whole Grain Pancakes. For the rest of the group, we got the Rio Bowl, California Breakfast ph3.jpgph5.jpgBurrito, and Huevos Rancheros. Funny enough, the group-favorite were the pancakes, which blew me away! I was just expecting these to be plain ol’ “trying-to-be-healthy” ph6pancakes- but whoah. These were some of the best pancakes I have personally ever tried, and I was wishing I didn’t have to share! My granola & yogurt also was a show-stopper: I figured I would be the only one eating it, but everyone else dug in and loved it as well! The Rio bowl was also delicious!  I didn’t personally try the burrito or Huevos Rancheros, but the verdict was that the burrito was good… and the Huevos Rancheros was excellent! From what I had,ph4however, I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness and quality of everything. When I first visited back when they opened, I was definitely not as impressed as I was this visit.

Overall? This was the perfect spot to start my birthday day, and a delicious brunch. The service was great, and the location makes for a perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Huntington Beach.
