When I first visited Trinity College, I was amazed to find a large, spacious, and vibrant cafe located on the first floor of the Science Gallery. After finally getting a chance to visit the Science Gallery Cafe, I can confirm that it is just as good as it looks!
Students and Trinity faculty members are blessed to have this spacious eatery right on-campus to fuel up during the day without venturing far. Open 9 am – 4 pm, the Science Gallery Cafe has a simple but delicious menu offering breakfast, lunch, pastries, and coffee.
Executive chef, William, was brought in about three months ago and redesigned the menu to feature simple, Irish-inspired offerings. I was delighted to discover that he is baking Irish soda bread, scones, and a few other pastries in-house! As the sucker for
bread, carbs, and pastries I am, I had to give these a try. There is no mistaking that these
are home-made, and so tasty! My colleague and I also tried the Greek Yogurt Bowl (a Shelby favorite) and the “Ploughman’s Perfection” sandwich, which was one of the best sandwiches she had ever had. Be sure to check the chalk board for soup and Trinity Bowl specials.
The Science Gallery Cafe is a spacious cafe with a wonderful, bright, modern, aesthetic
atmosphere which makes it the perfect place to eat, drink, and study. Plus, the service is attentive and friendly, which always makes a difference in a dining experience!
Now for the best news of all…. The Science Gallery Cafe owners are actually opening ANOTHER on-campus eatery in the new
business building, and I am so excited!! As a Trinity Business student, I am ecstatic that we will have a cafe located right in our building. With long days of lecture and class, I will definitely be spending a decent amount of time at the soon-to-open “Forum” eatery in the Trinity Business School!
**Hey, students! The Science Gallery Cafe offers student discounts, so be sure to show your student card!**
