Sweet & Spicy Chili Sesame Cauliflower Bites

Sweet, spicy, crispy cauliflower bites: gluten-free and can easily be Vegan or non-Vegan, depending on your Lahtt Sauce!
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 eggs, stirred
- 1 cup rice crumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- vegetable or canola oil, for frying
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil or vegetable oil
- ¼ cup Lahtt Sauce Chili Oil
- ½ cup honey
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
- chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Add eggs to a large ziploc bag; add cauliflower florets, close the bag, and shake it around until everything is well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine rice crumbs and spices. Pour in to the cauliflower bag and shake it around until everything is well combined.
- Heat a deep pot with about 4 inches of vegetable or canola oil. Once hot, fry cauliflower in batches until crispy (usually takes me about 5-6 minutes per batch).
- In the meantime, prepare the sauce.
- In a pot set over medium heat, combine sesame oil, Lahtt Sauce, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sriracha and garlic; bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl off to the side, combine cornstarch and water and stir until cornstarch is dissolved.
- Add cornstarch mixture to soy sauce mixture and stir to combine; remove from heat.
- In a serving bowl, mix the fried cauliflower and sauce.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
