Well, actually, I do think this is the perfect moment to tell you, fear not! If fried chicken and waffles are not your jam, do not cross these guys off your list quite yet. Although their fried chicken and tenders are among my top 5 favorite of all time, I love Bruxie for much more..
Yes, the diverse menu features a variety of different waffle sandwiches (all can be swapped for a King’s Hawaiian Bun!), chicken tenders, waffle fries, spiced TOTS(!), loaded fries(!), killer salads, dessert waffles, frozen custard (definitely a highlight), and out-of-this world sauces! When I returned to the States in March, I was all set to make Bruxie one of my first meals back… Until I learned they were temporarily closed due to Covid…😒 Since then, I was constantly checking social media and the website for some kind of news.
It wasn’t until September that I finally was able to perk up at the announcement of company reorganization and… REOPENING! Well, here we are in October and I am so HAPPY to tell you that the Orange and Brea locations are now reopen for takeout and socially distanced dining!
After my visit today, I must also report that these guys are going above-and-beyond to ensure safety and sanitation. This includes all takeout plating/packaging, unavailable tables to ensure distance, mask policy, and, most importantly, amazing team members! Whether you are a fried chicken & waffle fiend or not, give Bruxie a try and help support another business working hard to survive this difficult year.
