Whether you spend hours in a hotel relaxing or merely a couple minutes sleeping while traveling, I personally believe it is always an important part of a trip. When you finally get back to your room at the end of a long, exhausting day of walking, talking, and exploring, the last thing you want is any problem, worry, or fret. And now that I’ve “graduated” from hostels, the task has become even more exciting as I comb through oodles of contenders with various locations, brands, price points, and amenities. However, I cannot lie – this was quite a challenge when it came to the huge tourist city of Paris.

After hours of research, I finally put together a “final-cut” list of my top choices and decided on Hotel 34B Astotel – centrally located in the 9th arrondissement, tons of amenities, and unbelievably fantastic reviews. Part of the French hotel group, Astotel, 34B is one of their several locations throughout the city situated in great proximity to many attractions, eateries, and shopping. Each morning, I left with sites to see and things to do, all of which I could reach by foot. In the evenings when it was cold or I was tired, hopping on the RER was a cinch since there was a station just a few steps away.
