Back in 2023, I was stoked to hear about and see a new coffee shop opening up nearby in Orange that seemed unique and creative. I was even more excited to learn that they had reputable wifi and a spacious environment – perfect for bringing my laptop to work. 

Unfortunately, things have been so busy/hectic for me  that there has not been an ideal day for me to finally check it out…. However, Im ECSTATIC to share that I finally (!!) made it over to Ape Coffee in Orange (they now have a 2nd location in Placentia!) and my expectations were FAR surpassed! Literally – 1 of the most unique, memorable, indescribable drinks of my life: the SIGNATURE Ape Coffee “Monkey Business Latte.”

All of the rave I have been reading/hearing about for Ape Coffee was more than accurate- I am now definitely going BANANAS for this local spot! 

Everything is house-made with passion and dedication: in fact, you can watch them hand-craft each beverage right in front of you behind their open bar. Whether you try their signature “Monkey Business Latte,” (featuring the signature, out-of-this-world banana cold foam) or my standard Oat Milk Latte (one of the top lattes I have added to my list), there is no denying the quality and high standards poured into the beverage. 

To make things even more spectacular, they are even baking their own signature treats as well. Brown Butter Banana Bread – wow…. And I thought MY Banana bread was unbeatable. Not anymore apparently with this challenger! 

Most notably, however, is the driving force behind Ape Coffee: the people. A team of guest-focused, passionate, genuine coffee enthusiasts who are striving to make a positive impact on the coffee culture and “bring smiles to faces,” as the fabulous barista, Patrick, shared with me. 

Meeting and visiting the Ape Coffee family has been one of the highlights of my holiday break, for sure, and I am already planning to be back this week with my puppy, since they are dog-friendly indoors.
