About

Hi there! Thanks for finding me and my blog. I’m a young, ambitious, passion-driven Californian who finds herself always on a plane, talking to someone new, or eating something incredible. Through many years of trying to figure out my interests and hobbies, I’ve found myself truly inspired by and interested in food and travel. And I’ve realized that one of the best ways to learn about a new place, its history, its people, and its culture is through their food. What I love best about these things are the people I meet and have an opportunity to make a positive impact on. This may sound cliche, but I get so excited by life and all of the experiences out there just waiting for me. Each and every day is a chance to eat something delicious, meet someone new, go somewhere different, learn something, and so much more. I get so excited to share my excitement with others in hopes of inspiring them to follow their own passions and live a fulfilled life (which, again, sounds very cliche, but it’s genuinely how I feel).

This is what fuels my writing and keeps me going with my blog- inspiring others that really, anything IS attainable when you’re driven, inspired, and passionate… even when fear seems greater.

So follow along my journeys, adventures, and eats and ALWAYS feel more than welcome to reach out my way with recommendations, questions, comments, or just wanting to chat!

Now wait… why the name “Sauce Boss”?

When you came to this blog, you were interested in one of two things (or both if you’re like me): food or travel. So you might be wondering- what does the blog name “Sauce Boss Shelby” have to do with travel?  Well, this blog started off as just a food blog back in 2015 during my young, freshman college life and my friends started nicknaming me “sauce boss” because of my crazy, weird, unusual love for dipping my food in any sauce that I could get my hands on. So when I later made the decision to shift my blog towards both of my passions- food and travel – it seemed only right to stay true to my original name and title… at least for now!
